Ahlberg, Ek & Roswall

This trio got their start when Emma was a guest performing at a few dances with the now defunct band Ranarim, which included Daniel and Niklas. The result was so successful that they chose to form their own group and they are still very fond of performing for dances. They also perform concerts in Sweden and abroad. Ahlberg, Ek & Roswall play traditional folk music from their home regions of Skåne and Medelpad, and the also write their own songs.

The traditional songs are a treasure trove that they want to bring to the fore. The group arranges music together and takes inspiration from both folk music and other types of music. During the spring 2013, in addition oto Umefolk, they will be playing at Celtic Connections in Glasgow and touring in Germany and Denmark. Ahlberg, Ek & Roswall have played together a few years and have recently released their first album, called Vintern, which was warmly received by both critics and their fans.
