Bremer & Forsén

Two musicians with an amazing breadth. They met at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm. Joel was a student and Arne was the piano instructor. Later they began collaborating, particularly on songs from Jonas Röjås and others. Improvisation soon took over, both wild and softer in form, intermixed with lovely waltzes and polkas.

Like few others of his generation, Joel has closely studied traditional Swedish folk musik, in close contact with Wille Toors, Ole Hjorth, Pers Hans, Simon Simonsson and others. In recent years, though, he has felt a longing for alternative forms of expression and has sought out innovative experiments, including at Fylkingen.
