Jord

Folk music from Tornedalen is timeless. It has a simplicity and strength that has allowed it to survive. Since the revivalist movement of the 19th century felt beer and accordion music was harmfull, Tornedalen developed a strong song tradition. Jord has embraced this tradition and mixes beautiful harmonies with music from around the world. The language they sing in is Meänkieli.
