Sideshow Stringband

The bluegrass band Sideshow Stringband from Umeå has a sound that combines both joy and sadness in the same breathe. It's fully acoustic, strings vibrating against wood, and completed with harmonies. The band's musical influences come primarily from the American South: bluegrass, honky tonk and old time, spiced with the music of Gram Parsons and Dylan from the 1970s. The stories are the prime focus and the band's songs are often inspired by life in Västerbotten.
